Clarity

A lady with a concept approached me for a custom order.
It's been a long time coming.
Months.

She found the stone herself and sent it along to have a setting built around it.

The stone, she said,
" . . . to me seems like my thoughts rolling around in my head.
Sometimes you get a pocket of clarity."

We've been back and forth on ideas and symbolism.
Sentiment.

We settled on this . . .

Two open moon pockets casting metaphorical light on a druzy-centered Laguna Lace agate.
Illumination.
Realization.

Viewable from all sides.
A thought-out and intelligent moment of understanding.

Solid and sturdy.
The kind of clarity that lasts.
That has clout over your actions.

Built for her in 2010.
A year for wisdom.

An overall temple-shaped setting . . .
reinforcing the notions of peace.
Awareness.

A totally satisfying project.
The kind of work that makes me feel full.
I do so love what I do.
I love you all for loving it with me and feeling a connection.

I'm heading out with the birthday boy here shortly for a motorcycle ride.
We're heading west, to Pittsboro, where the old courthouse just burned down.
It's a great town for treasure hunting.
Hopefully there will be good pics posted here tomorrow.
As well as a shop update.

Happy Monday!
