Farm Fowl

I'm on a rooster kick and I honestly don't know why-
except for maybe that classic symbolism of the rooster
and the opportunity for a new day.

I guess I'm still in "new chapter of life" mode or something.
cockadoodle, y'all.

Intentions Lariats- Reversible Rooster Pendants
{Sterling Silver, Turquoise}

The Monkey wanted in on the pictures I was taking of myself
wearing the lariat.  It took awhile to get anything semi-decent
but I thought this one of the two of us was actually sweet.

I rarely think I look like the same person from photo to photo.
My face does funny things- it's overly expressive.
In fact, The Monkey informed me just this morning that
I have one BIG eye and one small eye.

A Narrative Necklace
{Sterling Silver, Chalcedony}

These three necklaces were all I was able to post today.
I spent the majority of the morning and afternoon
with a roofer getting and estimate on the leak repair,
and then waiting on a roofer whom never came.

Tomorrow I'll post Winged Necklaces
and new earring styles.

Oooooh, and The Handmade Market is coming up,
for those of you who are local!
Come out if you can.

G'night all!

  1. I like the roosters, they look good. I too have a very expressive face that sometimes I don't seem to have control over. That was a problem in the past for me but now I express myself better. I do smile a lot!

  2. what fun! i love how you draw inspiration from everything around you - giving your work such a beautiful diversity. and we love your expressive face! I especially like the second to last pic of you - so pretty :)

  3. the work is beautiful, we expect no less but my favorite thing about this whole post........the whole eye expose'....

  4. Maybe you're just channeling "The Bloggess" (http://thebloggess.com/2011/06/and-thats-why-you-should-learn-to-pick-your-battles/) **** NOTE **** Do NOT read if you are easily offended, some 4-letter words in the post.
